Months of baking ,bone dry weather came to an end today with the onset of a cold front from the north and a tropical wave from the south. More rain has fallen in the last four hours than all of 2009 to date. Some funnel clouds were spotted over western Dade. There is even a small chance of a tropical storm later this week.
A view of my pool during the deluge. Water rationing will likely be modified in many areas if the downpours continue through the week, as forecast.
